It has become a shopping moment that is starting to rival Black Friday… the collaboration between elite fashion designers and affordable stores. This Sunday Target is at it again with celebrated designer Phillip Lim and his 3.1 Phillip Lim collection for Target. And serious shoppers will surely begin camping out Saturday night at most Target stores where the collection will be available.

What’s the big deal? A chance to own top designer, great quality items for a steal. 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target ranges in price from $19.99 to $299.99 for apparel and $19.99 to $59.99 for accessories, and features more than 100 itmes. Standout pieces include bags, dresses and a trench coat for women, and shoes and a leather moto jacket for men. Travel accessories, such as a duffle and multipurpose pouches for women and men, round out the collection. Take a look at the items for yourself. And much like collaborations with other big name designers, these items will sell out FAST, especially on line.

In an effort to help you strategize, I talked to Target’s New York Fashion Director, Stefanie Mohr, to get some expert shopping tips for the big day.

*Shop Early!
You’ll want to get to Target before doors open Sunday. But due to anticipated long lines, you’ll want to get there as early as possible.
Look up the collection online ahead of time, so you know exactly which pieces you want to make a beeline for right away.
*Know Where To Go!
The entire collection, during the first week, will be presented in the women’s apparel department. After the first week, the collection will be moved to its respective department within the stores, e.g., the men’s collection will be located in the men’s apparel department.
*Shop On Line!
If you’re shopping online on Sunday, you’ll want to wake up extra early, so you can check out ASAP. FYI – 29 pieces will be available exclusively online.
*Take Advantage Of Extra Discounts!
For extra savings benefits, shop with your Target RedCard, so you can save 5% on all your purchases and receive free shipping on (this credit/debit card is a fab idea for frequent online shoppers and those who love to save $$!)

Good Luck!
